Calculation of greenhouse gas emissions from connection and control cables
Sustainability is at the centre of LAPP's corporate strategy. A key component of this is calculating the product carbon footprint (PCF). This summarises all greenhouse gases caused by a product in the various phases of its life cycle. The product carbon footprint enables us to identify the greatest levers for reducing CO2 emissions. On this basis, we can take targeted measures to reduce the climate impact of our products.
That's why we set out to analyse the product carbon footprint for our connectivity solutions. The calculation methodology according to ISO 14067 (Cradle-to-Gate) of our ÖLFLEX® cable solution has been independently tested by DEKRA. We have also determined the product carbon footprint for other parts of our product portfolio. This enables us to make the greenhouse gas emissions from the manufacture of our products available in a transparent and well-founded manner.
